Robert Hokum & The Guv'nors combine P-Funk grooves, Acid Jazz and Latin percussion with Blues based guitar to create their individual sound. They have gained a solid reputation as an exciting and original band.

They have made several albums, headlined major festivals, had their recordings played in several radio stations, ‘inflight' programmes, used on commercials and been sampled for ‘house' records.

Since 1989, Robert Hokum & The Guv'nors have been the mainstay and closing act of The Ealing Summer Blues Festival, an event that in 2009 had an attendance of 13,000 people.
